Business travel is "well and truly back on the agenda" for Travel Counsellors after it reported an uptick in the number of corporate transactions towards the backend of 2022 against pre-pandemic figures.
The homeworking firm saw sales for the new financial year (November-December) increase by 52% compared to the same time in 2019 and 73% compared to 2021.
The company – which made 1,542 corporate bookings last week – has also seen a 20% increase in new account openings compared to 2019.
Kieran Hartwell, managing director corporate at Travel Counsellors, said: "We are thrilled to see such a rapid pick up in corporate bookings throughout 2022, with sales for the full financial year up by 23% overall compared to 2019 levels.
"These strong results are a reflection of the care and trusted travel advice that all our Travel Counsellors give to their corporate customers, and we can be positive and optimistic for our continued corporate growth as we go into 2023."
