Luxury river cruise line AmaWaterways has announced plans to return to the Mekong River on 17 October.
Reservations are now open for sailings through Vietnam and Cambodia to explore the river onboard the 124-passenger AmaDara.
Jamie Loizou, managing director of AmaWaterways, said holidaymakers are looking for "authentic experiences in exotic destinations" as confidence returns.
"We are delighted to be returning to the Mekong, which has been an incredibly popular destination for us in the past," he added. "We are seeing strong forward bookings for 2023 and 2024 and, with entry regulations easing, it isn’t too late to travel to this spectacular part of the world in 2022".
AmaDara will offer two itineraries, Riches of the Mekong and Charms of the Mekong, which visit rural villages, markets and a monastery, where guests will receive a Buddhist blessing by monks.
To mark the return, AmaWaterways will also offer a two-for-one land package deal on seven 2022 departures. Both of AmaDara’s itineraries can be combined with pre- or post-cruise land packages in Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Ho Chi Minh City or Siem Reap.
