TTG has been honoured for holding its audience “at its core” after being named Media Brand of the Year at this year’s PPA Independent Publisher Awards.
TTG received the accolade – one of three – at a prestigious awards afternoon ceremony in London last week (24 November), after coming out top across an impressive shortlist.
The PPA Independent Publisher Awards judges praised TTG for a “very impressive increase in revenue” which it said was “delivered with its audience at its core, as well as with a focus on sustainability”.
This is “no easy task,” judges acknowledged.
TTG Media also scooped Commercial Partnership of the Year for its ongoing work with Virgin Voyages after judges noted the partnership’s “very clear, measurable objectives”.
The final recognition came from a “special mention” for TTG Media in the Independent Publishing Company of the Year category (turnover between £3m and £10m). Judges wanted to acknowledge TTG Media for being “dynamic and nimble”.
TTG Media was also shortlisted for two other awards on the day; for team of the year and innovation of the year, for its Sustainable Travel Heroes programme, which was honoured at the earlier PPA awards this summer.

TTG Media’s honours at the PPA Independent Publisher Awards came hot on the heels of Pearce taking home the award for Best Leader at Travel Connection Group’s inaugural TravYule Bauble Awards in London earlier in the week.
