Kerry Golds is poised to leave luxury specialist Abercrombie & Kent after more than a decade.
Golds joined the group in February 2013 as managing director, with oversight for its UK, European and Australian source markets.
She went on to take up the role of chief tour operating officer with A&K last April, taking on responsibility additionally for A&K’s US market.
Golds oversaw A&K’s acquisition of Cox & Kings in December 2019 before steering the group through the pandemic and a restructure.
A&K executive chair Manfredi Lefebvre said: "Kerry’s professionalism and expertise have played a pivotal role in making A&K what it is today.
"She leaves A&K Travel Group in its strongest ever position, with numerous worldwide openings and developments on the horizon. We wholeheartedly express our sincere appreciation for Kerry’s work and wish her continued success in the future."
Geoffrey Kent, A&K founder and emeritus chair, added: "Kerry Golds’ departure from A&K marks the culmination of over a decade of unwavering commitment and exceptional contributions. Her tireless dedication to our guests and inspiring leadership has left an indelible impact on our company.
"We are profoundly grateful for Kerry’s invaluable service and extend our heartfelt wishes for her continued success in future endeavours."
Golds’ career in travel began in reservations aged 16; after just three years, she was already heading up a team of 60. By the age of 28, she was responsible for managing 400 people across Travel 2’s three UK offices.
She went on to head up tour operations at Western & Oriental before leading the business for 18 months as managing director ahead of her move to A&K in 2013.
A&K set out plans earlier this year to expand its sales team after sales returned, and surpassed, pre-pandemic levels. The business recently took on Classic Collection’s Bryony Boulter as its new agency sales manager for the South West.
