Cathay Pacific has appointed Paul Johannes as its London-based head of marketing and sales for Europe as the airline rebuilds its UK frequencies.
Johannes has been the airline’s head of global sales since 2017, charting the company’s distribution strategy worldwide. He was previously vice president Europe for Qatar Airways.
The takes up his new role as the airline is set to recommence services to Madrid, Milan and Zurich in the fourth quarter of 2022.
Johannes said: “The European market plays an integral part of Cathay Pacific’s network as we connect major European metropoles with China and cities across the Asia Pacific region via Hong Kong.
“Cathay Pacific has provided continuous essential air services between Asia and Europe throughout the pandemic. As more and more countries in Asia open, we are excited to reconnect the two continents.”
