Hong Kong’s Cathay Pacific has begun rolling out its first class service again on select routes, including to and from Heathrow.
Cathay quietly reintroduced first last week (5-6 December) on its main Heathrow flight (CX251/252), coinciding with the carrier adding more Heathrow frequencies.
First will return to Cathay’s Paris flight (CX261/260) from 18 January followed by Tokyo Haneda (CX548/549) from 1 February.
Vivian Lo, Cathay general manager customer experience and design, said the carrier was excited to be restoring its First service after an "extended absence" as travel "comes roaring back".
"We know our customers have been eagerly anticipating being able to fly first class with us again, and we are delighted to be offering it on routes that we know are incredibly popular with them."
