Celebrity Cruises to offer agent champions exclusive fam trip places
Will PayneCruise agents with passions in one of four different areas are being sought by Celebrity Cruises and TTG to become specialist brand advocates.
Celebrity is urging agents to apply – or nominate a colleague – to become a Wellness Champion, a Diversity and Inclusion Champion, a Culinary Champion or Destination Champion, with each winner "embodying the meaning" of their category in their everyday work.
The four successful agents will not only hold the title throughout the year-long initiative, they will also each win a three- or seven-night cruise for them and a companion, with a programme designed around their particular specialism.
Furthermore, winners will be sent a range of personalised marketing materials, invited to events throughout the year, and offered spots on different training courses to bolster their skills in their chosen field.
Applications close on Friday (31 March) and shortlisted agents will be contacted to take part in interviews from 11-14 April.
Claire Stirrup, Celebrity Cruises UK and Ireland director of sales, told TTG the new campaign was the brand’s way of "giving back" to its agent partners.
"We want to do as much as we can to support our trade partners and frontline agents to sell as many cruise holidays as possible," she said.
"All of their feedback is welcome, as it really helps us formulate what we do for the trade."
To be in with the chance of securing one of the four Celebrity Champions titles, agents can either nominate themselves or be put forward by a colleague.
"The nominations must demonstrate how agents have used their own experiences, ideas or sales initiatives to bring Celebrity Cruises to life – the more information they can tell us, the better," Stirrup advised.
Individuals can be put forward for a variety of reasons, Stirrup added, from hiring practices in the workplace to ensure a diverse environment to educational initiatives designed to promote mental wellbeing.
"It could be something really quite big and game-changing, or it could just be lots of little things," she said.
