Clarity Business Travel has completed its acquisition of TTG Top 50 agency Agiito for an undisclosed sum.
Clarity, the business travel and events division of the Portman Travel Group, confirmed the deal after it received National Security and Investment Act approval.
As part of the deal, which was first announced in August, Clarity has also acquired B2B rail ticketing platform Evolvi. Agiito was one of two business travel agencies to make TTG Top 50 Travel Agencies 2023.
It said the acquisition “amalgamates years of unparalleled expertise and enviable reputations for service and driving value in corporate travel”.
“The new combined business is poised to transform the industry through a cutting-edge technology platform boasting proprietary technologies in online booking, meetings and events,” added Clarity.
The business will be led by the combined executive leadership teams from both firms and headed up by Clarity chief executive Pat McDonagh.
He said: “We’re delighted to have completed the acquisition and I’m looking forward to working with the new combined team to create something extraordinary.
“We’re laser-focused on delivering for our customers and that will be our first priority over the coming months as we begin integrating the businesses.”
McDonagh added: “We will take our time and ensure the benefits of this deal are delivered to our combined customer base; something we believe to be a truly unique and powerful offering to the market.”
