Walt Disney World Resort in Florida has launched its biggest-ever trade competition, which is set to give away almost £30,000 worth of prizes to three travel agents. The prize details and instructions for entering were revealed at a Disney Magic Expo event in London co-hosted by Gok Wan that was live streamed to more than 800 travel agents on 19 April.
A homeworker, small retail agent and large retail agent will each win a seven-night trip to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida with park tickets for four people, £500 in health and beauty vouchers, plus £6,000 to spend revamping their working environment or co-hosting a one-day client event with Disney.
“Disney is launching The Fairy Godmother Glow Up campaign to celebrate Walt Disney World Resort in Florida’s Early Booking Offer for travel in 2024; it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” said Tracey Silverwood, director for the UK and EMEA sales, marketing and transport at Disney Destinations International.
“We hope this will excite and engage agents, and show our appreciation to travel trade professionals as they support Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.”
“The travel trade continues to be an important part of the UK and Ireland business, and we are very proud of the strong partnership we have with our trade partners who sell our combined packages and tickets for travel in 2024,” she added.
Agents can nominate themselves for one entry, watch a virtual training for one entry and/or complete a quiz for three entries, so each agent can achieve a maximum of five entries.
The competition has three stages including initial entry, public voting and finishing with judges selecting the final three winners. Agents wishing to take part must complete the initial entry stage by midnight on 12 May.
