Eurostar passengers faced severe delays over the Easter bank holiday weekend after a border control IT failure meant travellers could not board trains, according to reports in the national press.
Services to London from Gare Du Nord station in Paris were reported to have been delayed by up to 30 minutes on Monday (18 April).
According to the Metro, passengers claimed the queues took longer than half an hour and some were waiting to board their train even though the service had already departed.
One customer told the paper: "I would say that easily more than a thousand people are queuing in Gare du Nord. (I am) frustrated especially when we know the price of the tickets, the lack of announcements and customer service."
