Flight Centre has made two key appointments ahead of its transition away from a flight-only agent to a tailor-made holiday specialist.
Yvonne Hobden joins as head of marketing while Liz Cairns, who has been with Flight Centre for eight years, has been appointed head of partnerships.
Hobden, who joins from tech giant HP, will lead the group’s restructure and said she was excited by the challenge ahead.
“I am passionate about travel, technology and music, and will be putting this into practice in my role,” she said.
Cairns will be responsible for Flight Centre’s relationships with key partners and the primary point of contact for tourist boards, airlines and suppliers.
She has 14 years’ experience in the travel industry, and has been promoted from head of leisure land product.
“My time at Flight Centre has enabled me to establish key and enduring relationships with all our main suppliers and tourist board partners, and help devise all Flight Centre’s third-party land strategy,” said Cairns.
“It is great to be putting this plan into action and leading as head of partnerships.”
