Flight Centre Travel Group has appointed John Morhous to the newly-created role of chief experience officer for global corporate travel brands.
He will be responsible for ongoing client-facing innovation and digital mobile platforms, the development of new tools and technology, and thought leadership across the group’s corporate brands across the globe.
Morhous has been with Flight Centre 11 years, most recently serving as chief strategy officer for corporate brands in the Americas.
His new role has been created to reflect the growing importance of technology products and services across the group, with Morhous having previously overseen tech innovations elsewhere in the business.
These range from traveler portals and risk management platforms to Flight Centre’s Sam ‘chatbot’ app, guiding group strategy and customer service improvements.
He joined the group in 2007 as director of IT at FCM Travel Solutions, impressing to the extent a new brand-wide chief information officer was created for him. He subsequently played a key role growing the brand globally, leading on corporate and digital marketing and products.
Morhous will continue to serve on the group’s corporate global leadership group while reporting directly to Leonard Donaldson, group chief information officer.
