A former CMV employee has set up his own group travel business after the collapse of the cruise brand in the summer.
Jason Tapper, who formerly worked for Independent Coach Travel, which was part of CMV, has launched Foxwood Travel, aiming at coach and group travel operators.
Tapper spent five years with CMV and said conversations with operators following the collapse “gave me the push” to start the business.
Jason and partner Robert have assembled their first brochure and launched foxwoodtravel.co.uk, offering a range of itineraries in the UK and continental Europe that can be tailored to suit an operator’s individual requirements.
Tapper said: “On the face of it this might seem a strange time to launch a new company, but the response from coach operators and from across the sector has been really positive.
“After spending many years offering a range of first class tours through ICT, I’m now feeling enthused and looking forward to working closely with coach operators and group travel operators as holiday travel starts to open up again.”
