Chinese travel giant Fosun is bringing its Casa Cook hotel brand to Mykonos.
Casa Cook Mykonos, situated in Ornos Bay, will open its doors to guests in June. The 26-room adults-only hotel is the brand’s smallest to date.
The brand was launched by Thomas Cook in 2016 in Rhodes before it was acquired by Fosun following Cook’s collapse in September 2019. It has since opened in El Gouna and on Egypt’s north coast, while Fosun has exported the brand to China.
“The island of Mykonos, with its blend of traditional charm and modern vibe, is the perfect fit for the Casa Cook brand,” says Alessandro Dassi, vice-president of the Fosun Tourism Group.
Dassi continued: “Through our holistic approach to minimalist design and laid-back luxury style, Casa Cook Mykonos will bring a new definition of luxury to one of the world’s most glamorous destinations."
Fosun has partnered with More Meni Boutique hotels for the project. “We are thrilled to partner with the Casa Cook brand to create a one-of-a-kind hotel on the incredible island of Mykonos,” said chief executive Gavriil Karathomas.
“With this project, we wanted to bring a totally new and fresh take on the luxury lifestyle that this island is so well known for, and for us the Casa Cook brand was the perfect match.”
