Fred Olsen Travel has reported a "record-breaking" start to 2023 after each of its brands exceeded their income budgets for the first week of the year.
The company – which encompasses 17 retail agencies, Star Clippers, Go Cruise and Travel, Fred Holidays and its business travel department – saw record income levels during the week commencing 2 January.
Steve Williams, managing director of Fred Olsen Travel, said: "It is obviously a strong market at the moment which is wonderful for the travel industry.
"Our record week is especially pleasing as throughout the pandemic we took the decision to continue investing in the business, in terms of the number of retail outlets and the team itself, with the recruitment of some key staff across our business."
