Iberostar Hotels & Resorts is expanding its beachfront all-inclusive offering in “very popular” Tunisia, with the opening of a new hotel in Hammamet to complement its existing resort there, plus its options in Sousse, Monastir, Mahdia and Djerba. The new addition takes Iberostar’s Tunisia portfolio to eight properties – two on Djerba with the remainder on the mainland.

Perfect for families and couples all year round, the five-star all-inclusive Iberostar Selection Mirage Hammamet will open in April, just a few minutes away from historic Medina and the Yasmine Hammamet marina.

“Iberostar Selection Mirage Hammamet is great for people of all ages, whether they want to relax on the beautiful beaches of Tunisia or do some exploring – because there’s so much culture and history,” Iberostar’s business development director for the UK and Ireland, Aishling McLoughlin, told TTG during a recent In the Spotlight video, adding that Tunisia was a “very popular destination”. “Tunisia offers a really great price to quality ratio as well so I’d highly recommend it to everyone,” McLoughlin said.

The new resort will have some Bungalow room types with lots of space, large outdoor pools and Iberostar’s signature Star Camp kids club for mini-VIPs. “If we keep the kids happy, the parents are happy,” said McLoughlin.

The three main restaurants include a mix of local and international flavours, with a Tunisian restaurant by the beach, a grill with sea views and a varied buffet.

There are a further five cafes and bars, including a pool bar, beach bars and a cafe.

The newly-refurbished Iberostar Selection Eolia Djerba is also perfect for families and couples

Some of Iberostar’s other beachfront all-inclusive properties in Tunisia include the five-star properties Iberostar Selection Eolia Djerba (northeast Djerba coast) and Iberostar Selection Diar El Andalous (Sousse).

The newly refurbished Iberostar Selection Eolia Djerba is more than just a place to enjoy a holiday as a couple or a family – it’s a sanctuary for rest and rejuvenation. It has a thalassotherapy centre offering a variety of experiences as well as a hammam. The Djerba property is perfect for families with children, offering a Star Camp.
