Holidaysplease has smashed its April sales record with days to spare, with 2022 now shaping up to be the best year ever for the homeworking agency.
The agency broke its previous April sales record earlier this month with a third of the month still to go, prompting brand and business growth executive Cat Reeves to confidently predict 2022 would likely be the best in the company’s 20-year history.
Holidaysplease has also recorded a significant increase in repeat bookings, which are up by 43% year-on-year as of April, with homeworkers reporting a greater proportion of clients upgrading their trips.
Gillian Stewart, one of Holidaysplease’s homeworker and travel consultants, said: “My repeats are booking more than they usually would, upgrading flights and room types.
“One client has eight high-value trips already booked for 2022 and 2023. Long may it last."
Holidaysplease has said it plans to invest further in its homeworkers to provide the resources its team need to help them meet current demand for travel.
The homeworking firm highlighted research by Collinson suggesting people were set to prioritise international travel over physical or material purchases over the next year, as well as work by American Express stressing people planned to "spend big and go far in 2022".
“This excites us even more as we specialise in long-haul, luxury travel," said Reeves.
Reeves also revealed Holidaysplease was seeing its conversion rate go up.
“The 56% improvement in the conversion of new customer enquiries we saw in Q1 2022 is a real boost for new homeworkers joining us now as they start to build their base of customers from the free leads we supply," she said.
Reeves added it was good to see the record number of departures and sales following the “incredibly tough two years of the pandemic”.
