If Only has recruited Charlotte Brailsford as its new head of sales south, following the departure of Dom Carrick to easyJet holidays earlier this month.
Brailsford brings 16 years of industry experience to her new role with the luxury specialist operator – half of which spent working as a travel agent and a further eight years in sales roles with Jet2holidays and Princess Cruises.
If Only said her appointment would be “crucial” to build upon the support Carrick had given agents in the south of England as the company looked to enhance its trade partnerships moving forward.
Sales director Tracy Docherty said: “We are absolutely delighted that Charlotte is joining us and we know she will be a great addition to the team, Charlotte brings lots of experience in various sectors of the market and brings numerous already established partnerships with agents across the south so will be able to transition into the role with ease.
“Charlotte will help us to capitalise on the tremendous opportunity for retailers and homeworkers to grow their luxury long-haul sales and take advantage of unprecedented levels of pent-up consumer demand for luxury holidays in 2021/2022 and beyond.”
Docherty added that agents should “watch this space for more exciting announcements" from the operator in the coming weeks.
Brailsford added: “I am delighted to be joining If Only. I can’t wait to meet new and existing If Only-supporting agents promoting their fantastic luxury brand. It’s a dream role within a well-established trade-only brand, and I want to thank Tracy and Gordon for the opportunity.”
