Jet2 suspends Algarve programme after corridor removal
Tom ParryJet2holidays has suspended its Algarve holiday programme after mainland Portugal was removed from England’s travel corridor list.
All holidays departing up to and including 26 September have been cancelled, following the move announced by transport secretary Grant Shapps on Thursday (10 September).
Jet2’s package holidays programme to Madeira will continue as planned.
“Customers in resort can continue to enjoy their holidays and we will be in touch regarding flights back to the UK,” the operator said in an update to trade partners.
“We still have plenty of holidays available to alternative destinations including Madeira, Kos, Rhodes, Corfu, Kefalonia, Cyprus and Turkey next week for your customers to rebook,” Jet2 added.
