JG Travel Group raises £3,000 for bereavement support charity

A 12-strong team raised £1,500 for the Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice after they took on a 10km night-time hike on Saturday (16 October), which JG then matched to double the group’s total.

Helen Moylan, JG’s HR director, said the team "wanted to give something back to our local community in Cheltenham", where its head office is based.

"The Sue Ryder charity is one many of us hold close to our hearts, as it provided end-of-life care to one of our colleagues as well as some of the team’s family members," Moylan added.

"We had so much fun on the night walking the route around Cheltenham under the stars, and it was a great way to remember those we have lost whilst raising lots of money for such a great cause."

The funds collected will help the hospice to continue to provide palliative care and bereavement support in the Gloucestershire community.
