JG Travel Group triples capacity on winter long-stay programme
James ChappleJG Travel Group has tripled capacity on its long-stay winter sun programme to the Costa Blanca, which will feature Calpe for the first time.
The 29-day no-fly breaks are available across both the group’s National Holidays and Just Go! Holidays brands on full-board or all-inclusive basis.
Three Calpe departures are available – 19 November 2023, 7 January 2024 and 4 February 2024 – staying all-inclusive at a three-star hotel.
Elsewhere, JG is offering more Benidorm departures than ever before this winter, up from a sole January departure to three with new November and February options.
The group said the decision to expand the programme came off the back of "unprecedented demand" last year, and would ensure "agents have plenty of capacity to sell".
Each break features return coach travel and six excursions, allowing guests to explore the towns and beaches along the Costa Blanca.
These include trips to Valencia, the home of paella, and the cathedral town of Murcia, as well as Alicante, Denia, Javea, Guadalest and Altera.
In addition, JG is offering a new 14-day, no-fly, Christmas a New Year coach break to Calpe to complement an existing Benidorm option for the festive season.
Low deposits of £125pp are available on all bookings made by 30 June 2023.
Claire Dutton, JG Travel group trade sales manager, said: “Getting away from winter in the UK to spend almost a month on the warm shores of the Costa Blanca is a real draw for many customers. Escaping the rising costs of heating their homes, plus avoiding cooking and washing up for 29 days has become very appealing – what’s not to love?
“Benidorm has always had year-round appeal and now the addition of nearby Calpe, we now have even more choice. When you work out the price per day it offers incredible value and I urge agents to ensure they always promote this in any marketing."
A 14-day all-inclusive Christmas and New Year stay in Calpe, with return coach travel, three-star hotel accommodation and three excursions leads in from £1,149pp based on two sharing, while 29-day trips to Benidorm and Calpe lead in from £1,499pp and £1,549pp respectively.
