Joanna Kurowska has been named IHG Hotels & Resorts new UK and Ireland managing director.
Kurowska has been promoted to the top role after 10 years with the hotel giant, which has more than 350 hotels across the region operating under eight brands – including Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn Express.
She will be responsible for driving performance across IHG’s estate in the UK and Ireland, and growing IHG’s brands in the region.
Her career with IHG started at InterContinental Warsaw where she was director of finance and business support.
She proceeded to take on a number of finance and operational roles across Europe, most recently director of operations for northern Europe.
Kurowska also sits on IHG’s European diversity, equity and inclusion board, tasked with driving the diversity and inclusion agenda within IHG.
