Kuoni has expanded its Caribbean programme to offer holidays to Dominica for the first time.
The destination will be promoted as a twin-centre stay with Saint Lucia or Barbados and bookable from Friday (9 July).
Two hotels on the island are set to join Kuoni’s collection – Cabrits Resort & Spa Kempinski, a retreat next to the Cabrits national park – and Secret Bay, which offers a "rainforest atmosphere" from a green clifftop location.
New hotels in Barbados and Saint Lucia will also be added, including The House, by Elegant Resorts, on the west coast of Barbados, while new additions in Saint Lucia include the Ladera Resort and Soco Hotel.
Sheena Paton, senior programme manager at Kuoni, said the operator wanted to "reposition" how it sells the Caribbean, to create "more bespoke two-centre experiences and showcase the adventures, activities and scenic tours".
"Dominica is a stunning gem of an island with so many experiences to discover. We’ve set out to showcase the diversity of the island, and highlight how it can be blended with some of the more familiar islands such as Saint Lucia and Barbados as a fantastic two centre holiday offering something fresh and exciting," she said.
“With so many weddings postponed from 2020, we know that many couples are looking to reschedule their big day and asking us for new honeymoon advice and inspiration. We want to make sure we surprise and excite newly-weds about what’s on offer in the Caribbean, which they may not necessarily know about.
Paton added: "The green light for immediate travel is a strong signal to give people confidence in the region. With direct flights and good connectivity between the islands, the Caribbean has a lot to offer and we’re looking beyond the pandemic to grow sales for 2022."
