Leger Holidays has launched a new battlefield tours brochure to coincide with Remembrance Day on Thursday (11 November).
The 76-page offering, available online and in print, includes more than 80 tours and introduces 17 new trips with dates between May 2022 and October 2023, featuring European and worldwide battlefield tours, covering WW1, WW2, the Napoleonic Wars and the American Civil War.
The itineraries cover a range of aspects of military history, including anniversaries and commemorative events, key battle sites and the human side of war.
The new tours include the five-day "The Silent Cities: The CWGC Story" trip, which takes guests to Belgium and France. Prices start at £559pp.
The Vimy Ridge and Arras tour provides an "in-depth look" at the battlefields around Arras, with a day at Vimy Ridge. Five days start from £559pp.
A five-day "Behind The Lines on The Somme" tour explores life behind the Somme front in WW1, including visits to cemeteries, soldiers’ graffiti, and museums and costs £549pp.
"Anne Frank in Amsterdam" is a four-day tour and starts from £449pp and the "Defence of Britain – Kent in Two World Wars" trip takes a look at the role of Kent during both World Wars, and costs £519pp for five days.
