MSC Cruises will no longer require guests to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 to embark on a sailing from the UK.
From 1 October, those departing on an MSC sailing from the UK will only be "recommended" to be vaccinated against Covid, rather than "required" to.
Furthermore, all fully vaccinated guests presenting a valid vaccination certificate and departing from the UK are now "recommended" – but not "required" – to test before embarkation.
For any unvaccinated guests aged five and older, a PCR or antigen test within 48 hours prior to the ship’s departure remains mandatory. MSC also reminded customers Covid insurance is not mandatory but "strongly" recommended.
Changes to Covid travel requirements have also been applied to other embarkation ports including those in the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Caribbean and others.
