The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will offer its “most highly themed, immersive coaster experience yet” with the opening of a new attraction, centred around the character Hagrid this summer.
More details of upcoming ride Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure have been revealed ahead of its opening on June 13 at Universal Orlando Resort in Florida.
Guests will join Hogwarts gamekeeper Hagrid on a journey through the Forbidden Forest, braving “mysteries and thrills” riding onboard a freewheeling coaster at speeds up to 50mph.
It all begins with guests joining Hagrid’s Care of Magical Creatures class and later boarding magical motorbikes “specially designed to make them feel the freedom of flight”.
Guests will either ride the motorcycle or sit in the adjacent sidecar as they embark on a journey that will bring them closer to some of the wizarding world’s rarest magical creatures.
Along the way they will “encounter” centaurs, Cornish Pixies, Fluffy the three-headed dog and a creature never before seen in the Harry Potter film series.
The experience will also feature “rich environments and sets” – including a live forest comprising more than 1,200 real trees.
