Flash sales specialist Secret escapes has agreed a strategic partnership with TripAdvisor-owned Jetsetter.
The deal will see Secret Escapes provide Jetsetter flash-sale inventory for luxury properties around the world.
US website Skift reported that the tie-up will see Jetsetter effectively outsource its flash sales service with 28 job losses as a result.
Tom Valentine, chief operating officer and co-founder of Secret Escapes said, “Jetsetter and Secret Escapes share a laser-focused travel deals DNA and are both in the business of inspiring people to take more and better holidays.
He added: “Flash sales powered by permission marketing is now an established part of the luxury travel ecosystem - this strengthens the model in the sector by combining the operations of two successful, ambitious companies at scale.”
The partnership follows hot on the heels of the Secret Escapes’ acquisition of German operator Travista, and a $60 million investment round led by Google Ventures and Octopus Investments.
