From brilliant basics like mood lighting, rain showers and tablet controls to cool terrace hot tubs and personal music rooms, the cabins and suites on board Virgin Voyages are built for lounging fun.

Your Sailors could be taking in the ocean views from their handwoven terrace hammock, getting ready for a night out in a marble-clad bathroom and ordering room service 24/7.

Getting friends and family together is a (sea) breeze with clever configurations which allow most cabins to sleep up to three or four. And flexible furnishing means they’ll have sofas by day, beds by night.

As you’d expect from Virgin Voyages, the decor is modern, but there’s a nod to the nautical in brass and leather fittings. There’s the odd cheeky touch too, like peek-a-boo outdoor showers, while vinyl record players put a retro spin on things.

Sailors upgrading to the suites will find extra perks to match their swanky surroundings including access to Richard’s Rooftop alfresco lounge on the top deck.

Life is suite

VIP-types can max out their onboard experience in Virgin Voyages’ enviable RockStar suites.

Sleeping two to four, these pack extra wow thanks to renowned designer Tom Dixon, with marble bathrooms, mood lighting, complimentary bars, king-size beds, retro record players and fun bathing options.

Sailors who book the RockStar Quarters (352-857 sq ft) will be sure to get that backstage pass feeling when they access the cabanas and hot tubs of Richard’s Rooftop and bag early boarding and priority for bookable experiences. They can kick back with sundowners from the complimentary in-room bar and their further whims will be catered for by the butler-style RockStar Agents. Cheeky outdoor Peek-a-View showers add to the sense of fun.

Top bragging rights belong to those in the Mega RockStar Quarters (570-2167 sq ft), Virgin Voyages’ largest suites. Besides the access perks they’ll have a complimentary transfer or valet parking. And they’ll be able to get the party started with their daily included bar tab and bottomless in-room bar, drinks from which can be enjoyed lounging on a sociable L-shaped or circular sofa. They’ll be pampered too, with daily access to the spa’s thermal facilities.

Mega RockStar Quarters come with outdoor showers and, in the Massive Suites version, terrace hot tubs.

Naturally it’s important clients share their experience with those back home, so premium WiFi is included on Caribbean sailings to make it even easier to share those selfies. Sailors in the Massive Suites can even make like real rockstars, striking a pose with one of the electric guitars included in their private music room, which doubles as a second bedroom if they’re sharing with mates.

The lowdown

RockStar /Mega RockStar Suites sleeping up to four range in size through Brilliant, Gorgeous, Posh, Fab and Massive.

The smaller Suite Aft and Seriously Suite versions sleep two, as do the Cheeky Corner Suites, which are all about the view, with a range of wraparound terrace sizes.

Cool Cabins

With intuitive mood lighting, rain showers and HDTVs with movie streaming, even Virgin Voyages’ entry level cabins come with a touch of luxe as standard. A whopping 93% of cabins have sea views and 86% come with sea terraces with handwoven hammocks. Lights and music can be adjusted, and 24-hour room service ordered all at a touch of the in-cabin tablet screen.

Besties can maximise their value thanks to a clever configuration that allows most cabins to sleep up to three or four in a combination of double or twin beds and bunks, while, by day, beds switch up to sofas for lounging.

Solo Sailors meanwhile can swerve a single supplement in dedicated Sea View or Insider cabins.

And, of course, all cabins come with a generous package which includes all food, essential drinks, shows and entertainment, WiFi, group fitness classes and tips.

The lowdown

The entry level Insider cabins (105-177 sq ft) are great for the budget conscious or Sailors who sleep by day, party by night. Social Insiders, which sleep up to four, come with larger 50-inch TVs plus games consoles.

Sea View cabins (130-190 sq ft) have large porthole windows, while the Sea Terraces (185-225 sq ft) with balconies featuring those fun alfresco hammocks, start with the Ltd View (overlooking part ship, part sea) and range up to the XL, where the roomy bathroom is perfect for glamming up before a night out.
