Parts of the Canary Islands could face flooding this week with Storm Oscar poised to bring heavy rain and winds of up to 55mph, the UK Met Office has warned.
It is understood the storm, which is forecast to arrive in the Canaries on Tuesday morning (6 June), will bring intense rain and wind, particularly to the western islands such as La Palma, Tenerife and Gran Canaria.
Fuerteventura and Lanzarote will be less impacted, but will still experience large amounts of rainfall until Wednesday, according to Spain’s meteorological service, the Agencia Estatal de Meteorologia.
