Up to 90% of Lufthansa services could be grounded on Tuesday (20 February) owing to strike action.
Workers represented by the Verdi union are set to walk out late on Monday (19 February) in an ongoing dispute over pay. The action will run from 8pm on Monday to 7.10am on Wednesday.
Affected airports include the airport’s Frankfurt and Munich hubs, as well as Berlin, Cologne, Dusseldorf, Hamburg and Stuttgart.
In a statement, Lufthansa said it anticipated only around "10% to 20%" of its flight programme would be possible on Tuesday.
Verdi is seeking a pay uplift of 12.5% for around 25,000 employees, spanning check-in staff, ground handlers, maintenance and freight personnel.
A strike earlier this month resulted in the cancellation of around 90% of Lufthansa services. Lufthansa has insisted it has engaged with the union and made a competitive offer to resolve the dispute.
Passengers have been advised to travel to their departure airport only where they’ve had confirmation their flight will operate as scheduled.
