Transfer firm seeks to capitalise on trade growth with new hire

Giorgio Valenti joins Suntransfers following a 12-year stint at Majorca-based travel technology company Hotelbeds Group where he held several leadership positions in ground transportation, experiences and car rental. 

In his new role, Valenti will report to Suntransfers’ global B2B director Andy Baker, who joined the firm in October 2019. He will also work alongside Keeley Leck, who has been looking after the UK and Northern Europe markets for the past 11 months as head of sales.

“I’m thrilled to be joining Andy and the team at Suntransfers to continue the success that they have already had on their B2B journey,” said Valenti. “I’m confident that with the experience and relationships I have within the sector, we have a winning formula.”

Baker said Valenti was “the perfect match” for Suntransfers. “With B2B sales now exceeding 30% of the total business and showing record numbers for 2024 with strong growth ahead of budget, Giorgio is joining us at a pivotal time as we enter our 16th year of operations and look to expand our distribution footprint further globally," he added.
