Flights to the north-east US are getting back on schedule following Tuesday’s disruption caused by blizzard conditions.
A swathe of cancellations by carriers disrupted travel as the storm swept in, but departures to New York, Boston and other affected airports are mainly flying as scheduled today.
There will still be some knock-on effect from the late season storm, however, with displaced passengers being routed via other airports.
British Airways said it would use larger aircraft if possible on Wednesday in order to clear the backlog of extra passengers.
More snow is forecast for New York later on Wednesday, but rain is set for the end of the week.
