Shore excursion operator Venture Ashore has overhauled its travel agent website and portal to make them easier for the trade to use.
The website has been designed “to provide a more user-friendly journey for travel agents”, Venture Ashore said.
Agents can now log in via the Venture Ashore website, rather than having to open a different booking window.
Other key changes include increased booking visibility and management of customer bookings in the agent portal.
A new white-label affiliate website customised for each agent is also available.
The affiliate site “mimics” the new Venture Ashore website and also provides “an enhanced user experience”.
The new travel agent website features 2024 and 2025 shore excursions, which are now bookable.
The new booking system allows agents to collect customer tour vouchers from their portal as soon as the reservation is confirmed. Previously, agents had to wait two to three weeks before departure for Venture Ashore to send the vouchers.
Agents can also offer Venture Ashore itineraries to land-based customers via the website for the first time.
Venture Ashore sales director Kirsty Bachelor said: “At Venture Ashore, we value our partnerships and relationships in the trade community, which is why it was important to us to launch a new website that eased pain points for travel agents and ensure a more user-friendly experience.
“Travel agents are now able to search and book excursions by destination, which enables agents the opportunity to sell experiences for both pre- and post-cruise.”
She added: “We’ve taken onboard feedback from travel agents to improve the user experience, even from fixing the load time of the portal was raised and implemented in the launch of the new website.”
Bachelor encouraged agents to give feedback about the new website, so Venture Ashore could continue to make improvements.
“We are confident these improvements will benefit travel agents for the better and encourage them to sell more of Venture Ashore’s products,” she said.
