Sports and wellness cruise start-up Blue World Voyages has signed a deal to acquire its first vessel from an unnamed “major five-star cruise company” in 2026.
The yet-to-launch cruise line confirmed the all-suite ship will undergo an extensive refit “to integrate the Blue World concept” before its launch.
Advanced energy-efficient systems, waste reduction technology and eco-friendly materials are being planned by the line.
The ship will feature a mix of 30 one- and two-bedroom residencies which are available for private ownership and 160 passenger suites.
The private one-bedroom units are priced at $3 million and the two-bedroom units cost $4.4 million.
Plus, the residence owners have access to all of the ship’s amenities, including the athletic and fitness conditioning deck and wellness facilities for rejuvenation, recovery and spa.
Each of the passenger suites are 352 square feet which Blue World Voyages claims is “double the size of standard cabins on other lines”.
They will feature in-room wellness amenities, balconies, lounge areas and walk-in closets.
Fredy Dellis, the line’s co-founder and acting chief executive, revealed “several” of the residencies have been reserved by interested buyers.
“Visiting exciting destinations without leaving home is the ultimate lifestyle for sophisticated travellers,” he added.
Founder and chair Gene Meehan said: “Nothing like this exists. We intersect wellness, personal enrichment, and adventure travel to place something new in the water, active lifestyle cruising with like-minded passengers and residence owners onboard.
“Our team is ready to set the benchmarks for sports, fitness, and wellness programming at sea.”
