A webinar on how to tackle the LGBTQ+ market takes place today (22 June).
The session, which starts at 2pm, is run by WTM Global Hub, the WTM portfolio’s new online portal.
President and chief executive of the International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association John Tanzella will kick-start the session by revealing the organisation’s key findings from a new survey.
Peter Jordan, a consultant in LGBTQ+ Destination Development, will then offer his take on this segment and award-winning LGBTQ+ travel blogger Meg Van Eyck will end the discussion by providing practical ways to attract the LGBTQ traveller to destinations.
LGBTQ+ Tourism’s global value is now put at $211 billion, a 27% increase in five years. A recent survey by IGLTA has shown that LGBTQ+ travellers are set to be one of the first target markets to start travelling again once borders are open.
