JG Travel Group has worked quickly to get coach breaks on sale as Torvill and Dean announce their last ever UK tour.
Earlier this week, legendary ice-skating duo, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, announced they will embark on their last ever UK tour together, before hanging up their boots and retiring from skating for good.
Predicting that this will be a hugely popular event, JG Travel Group have secured tickets for the shows in Birmingham and Manchester in Spring 2025. Two-day coach breaks are now on sale through both Just Go! Holidays and National Holidays, so agents can ride on the back of all the current hype around the launch.
The 50th anniversary tour, Torvill & Dean: Our Last Dance, will take place in arenas around the UK in April and May 2025, half a century after they began skating together. This brand-new show will give audiences a unique opportunity to experience the duo’s iconic partnership one last time, as they interpret every beat and melody with skilled precision.
Claire Dutton, trade sales manager at JG Travel Group comments: “This is such an exciting new event and I’m delighted that agents can already start promoting and making sales. The tour was announced on Wednesday, exactly 40 years to the day since Torvill and Dean’s Bolero won them gold at the Sarajevo Winter Olympics in 1984, which is just amazing.
“It really is a once-in-a-lifetime chance see one of Torvill and Dean’s last performances together. know these breaks are going to be hugely popular and with Dancing on Ice also back on our TV screens, there really has never been a better time to spread the word as these two legends prepare to skate their last ever tour.”
Departures are Saturday 26 April 2025 for the show at the Resorts World Arena in Birmingham, priced from £179pp and Saturday 3 May 2025 for the show at the AO Arena in Manchester, priced from £199pp. Price includes return coach travel from selected pick up points in England, one night’s accommodation with breakfast, a ticket to the show with return coach transfers between the hotel and arena, plus a visit to either Birmingham or Manchester depending on the trip.
