Eleven children joined Classic Collection on two Junior Hotel Inspector fam trips held in Cyprus and Turkiye last week.
The Constantinou Bros Athena Beach Hotel, Cyprus and Titanic Hotels, Turkiye served as ideal locations to be scrutinised by the youngsters.
The youngsters aged between four and 13, pictured left to right, George, Alissa, Harper, Jude, Alfie, Darcey, were joined by travel trade parents aged between 31 and 47.
Armed with their very own Junior Hotel Inspectors high vis vests, lanyards, clipboards and pens, the children inspected every aspect of the hotels to ensure child-friendliness throughout, from new food and ice-cream options to the beaches, swimming pools, and most importantly, waterslides.
Si Morris-Green, B2B Director, travelling with 6 year old daughter Lillie Mae, commented, ‘It’s very rare that agents get to take their children to work, especially overseas, so we’re delighted to have enabled trips for some of our trade partners to share with their kids.’
‘The children had many questions and gave those refreshingly honest opinions that only kids can, whilst our partner hotels were able to showcase the suitability of their hotel products to both children and adults.’
Agents from Aspire, Dawson & Sanderson, Hays, Miles Morgan, Millington, Not Just Travel, One Travel Club, Seaside Travel and Sunlounger Travel Cambridgeshire, along with youngsters Harper, Alfie, Alissa, Florence, Anna, Jude, Toby, Darcey and Imogen, attended.
Sarah Ayling-Webster, Regional Sales Manager for Classic Collection, travelling with 7 year old son George, said, ‘ So many travel professionals are often away from family for work. This trip has helped George with his understanding of my job and might well have a lit a spark of interest in him becoming a travel professional of the future.’
Melissa Tyers, Miles Morgan Travel, commented, ‘I’m beyond grateful to have spent this time with my girl Florence. We’ve made some friends for life and memories we’ll cherish forever.’
Details of how the inspectors got on are being shared on the Classic Collection agents’ Facebook page. The operator has one more Junior Hotel Inspectors’ trip to finalise which will be taking place next spring.
