Rabbit Holdings, leveraging its extensive real estate experience under BTS Group’s MATCH platform, aims to elevate the cultural and economic significance of Bangkok’s Bang Rak area by developing a world-class hospitality destination. Langham Hospitality Group (LHG), with a proven track record in heritage conservation and luxury hotel operations, was chosen to manage the hotel.

Mr. Kavin Kanjanapas, Director of Rabbit Holdings, expressed excitement over the collaboration, noting LHG’s expertise in creating luxury hotels while preserving cultural heritage, making it an ideal partner to realize its vision.

The Langham, Customs House, Bangkok will follow several successful LHG projects, including The Langham, Boston in a former Federal Reserve Bank building, The Langham, Chicago in the Mies van der Rohe building, and The Langham, Pasadena, which dates back to 1907. LHG also has a heritage conservation project underway in Venice, restoring a glass factory on Murano Island.

LHG CEO, Mr. Bob van den Oord, highlighted that The Langham, Customs House, Bangkok exemplifies their strategy of integrating cultural preservation into hotel development while offering unparalleled guest experiences.

The hotel will showcase signature Langham luxury elements, including a branch of the three Michelin-star Cantonese restaurant T’ang Court, a destination bar, a world-class pastry outlet, and the renowned Chuan Spa.

Built-in 1888, Customs House is a historic landmark featuring neo-Palladian architecture by Joachim Grassi. The building has hosted royal events and marked important moments in Thailand’s history. The restoration of the building will blend traditional Thai elements with its Western design, celebrating Thailand's rich cultural heritage while offering modern luxury.

Rabbit Holdings and LHG are committed to preserving the building’s historical essence, combining it with contemporary design and state-of-the-art facilities to create a unique experience for guests that honours both the past and future of this iconic landmark.
