A new culinary era begins this season at Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort with the opening of Yakumanka headed by Chef Daniel Galvez.

The restaurant is an exceptional Peruvian pop-up restaurant experience opening only for this season. Part of Acurio international, Yakumanka is renowned for merging traditional Peruvian cuisine with contemporary flair. Chef Galvez promises a unique dining experience filled with vibrant flavours and emotions.

 

Set on the splendid golf restaurant terrace, offering panoramic views of the golf course and the sea, Yakumanka transcends the culinary experience to become a true sensory journey through the delights and mysteries of Peru. This new jewel focuses on authentic Peruvian dishes, using fresh, local ingredients to deliver a truly traditional culinary experience. 

 

The menu features Peruvian classics such as cebiche, one of Peru’s signature dishes. This dish, made of fish cut into cubes, is delicately marinated in “leche de tigre”, a refreshing, harmonious sauce flavoured with coriander; it is accompanied by sweet potato, “choclo”, and “chulpe”, typical Peruvian corn. Seafood and land products are grilled in a wood-fired oven, giving them an unmatched aroma and flavour, all in perfect harmony with various Peruvian ingredients.

 

Every detail of this pop-up has been meticulously designed to capture the very essence of Peruvian culture. Featuring marine-themed décor evoking vacation with its hanging nets, wooden tables and chairs, and pop-art styled quotes, every detail is a testament to the authenticity and passion that characterise Peruvian cuisine.

 

At Yakumanka, the experience is more than just entertainment; it’s a celebration of Peruvian vivacity and conviviality. With enchanting music, day and evening, every moment is transformed into a party where enthusiasm and joy of living are the order of the day.
