Travel Trade Consultancy (TTC) has become a certified B Corporation after having met a series of thorough social and environmental standards.
Alongside subsidiaries The Travel Vault and Stonecot Trustees, the consultancy has joined 1,500 companies in the UK that are now certified B Corps.
In the travel sector, these include industry stalwarts such as TTG Media, which received its certification last month, as well as Intrepid and Inside Travel Group.
“Travel Trade Consultancy, Stonecot Trustees and The Travel Vault have all been independently and rigorously assessed as meeting high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability,” said group owner and director Martin Alcock on Thursday (11 January).
“We are committed to being a group of businesses that do the right thing and we’re proud to be part of the B Corp community.”
Created by charity B Lab, the B Corp certification assesses a company’s commitment to having a positive influence on five key areas: governance, workers, community, environment and customers.
To obtain a B Corp status, firms need to demonstrate their practices are socially and environmentally responsible when it comes to energy supplies, diversity and corporate transparency.
