MSC Cruises and its luxury sister brand Explora Journeys has laid out how it plans to increase support for agents in the UK and Ireland following its most successful year ever in the market, with three new hires and three promotions across its trade team.
In the UK, Charlotte Petrides will join the group’s trade team as senior trade support executive, while Zoe White and Jessica Pearson will join as trade support executives. All three will report into head of trade support and training Claire Smith.
Elsewhere, after nine years with MSC Cruises, Danielle Weller has been promoted to the role of senior regional sales manager (south).
In Ireland, Suzanne Rowe will oversee Explora Journeys in addition to her role as MSC Cruises head of sales. Alana Byrne, meanwhile, has been promoted to the role of senior account manager (Ireland) for MSC Cruises, reporting into Rowe.
Steve Williams, MSC Cruises director of sales UK and Ireland, said: “We have seen the most successful year of sales ever for MSC Cruises in both the UK and Ireland and we know that this is largely due to the level of support we receive from our valued trade partners.
"That is why we continue to invest in our sales and trade support teams, and I am delighted that we are growing our team and rewarding our exceptional team members with new hires and promotions. Collectively our team of 19 employees now has over 101 years joint experience working with MSC Cruises which is an amazing milestone."
Williams added: "With MSC Virtuosa returning to Southampton again in summer 2025 and the launch of our new ship MSC World America in April 2025, we are expecting our business to continue to be the number one choice for guests looking for the perfect holiday.”
