Windstar to homeport ship in the UK for the first time in 2026
Windstar Cruises will homeport a ship in the UK for the first time in 2026 as part of a concerted efforts to increase its focus on the UK market.
The line will operate three short taster cruises and two longer departures ex-London in May 2026 onboard the 312-guest Star Pride. Bar a one-off sailing from the capital, it will be the first time the line has operated a series of ex-London cruises.
Itineraries include two three-night Belgium sailings featuring Bruges and Antwerp, a four-night St Malo cruise visiting the famous walled city and nearby Mont St Michel, a 13-night Belgium and Norwegian fjords cruise and a 10-night fjords voyage.
"I’m really excited that Star Pride will be homeporting in my home town of London in 2026," said Windstar’s head of sales Augustus Lonsdale. "This is a first for Windstar and it clearly demonstrates the commitment to the UK market and our customers from both Windstar and our wider ownership group.
"After a strong 2024, and with great forward business for 2025, this is a pivotal time for sales from this region for Windstar Cruises. I am sure the taster cruises will prove very popular with both new-to-cruise and new-to-Windstar guests and will be instrumental helping us grow our business from the UK market."
All five itineraries will depart from the heart of London, sailing under Tower Bridge and past HMS Belfast.
Windstar’s three-night Belgium: A Sweet Getaway itineraries will sail round-trip from London on 12 May 2026 and 19 May 2026, with fares from £1,355pp. Its four-night St Malo Getaway, which also sails round-trip from London, departs on 15 May 2026 and leads in from £1,762pp.
The line’s 10-night Endless Days in Norway cruise, meanwhile, departs London on 22 May and leads in from £4,915pp. Customers can combine the second Belgium: A Sweet Getaway departure with Endless Days in Norway to create a 13-night sailing priced from £5,053pp, which finishes up in Edinburgh.
Prices include all meals and drinks, WiFi, gratuities and port fees.
