Intrepid appoints Rochelle Turner as global B Corp impact manager
Intrepid Travel has appointed Exodus Adventure Travels head of sustainability Rochelle Turner to the newly created role of global B Corp impact manager starting on Monday (3 June).
In a post shared on LinkedIn on Sunday (2 June), Turner said she couldn’t wait to help Intrepid become “the best travel company for the world”.
“I can’t wait to help them realise their ambition to be the best travel company for the world and [I’m] so looking forward to working with an incredible team of people who have been such guiding lights for me throughout my career,” she added.
The move to Intrepid will coincide with a move to Portugal for Turner and her family.
Turner told TTG her new role will consist of "project managing" Intrepid Travel’s B Corp certification, "ensuring that new areas for impact are identified" and "overseeing the business’s overall sustainability reporting".
"Intrepid is the [world’s] largest travel B Corp and it obviously wants to stay that way and wants to make sure that all businesses it owns and operates are aligned with the B Corp certification," she explained.
A champion of positive business impact, Turner has strived to help the travel sector with its sustainability journey – holding senior roles at the World Travel and Tourism Council, Tui and Which? Travel.
In December 2022 she was appointed as Exodus Adventure Travels head of sustainability, leading the company to become B Corp certified, which was announced at the start of 2024.
“I was so pleased to lead them through their much-deserved B Corp certification at the end of 2023,” Turner wrote on LinkedIn. “I know Kasia Morgan and the wider team will lean heavily into this and wish them all the very best as they do.”
Turner is also co-chair of industry collective Travel by B Corp, which brings together B Corp businesses within the travel and tourism industry.
