Travel brands including Intrepid Travel, G Adventures, Audley Travel and Insight Vacations are featured among the finalists for the International Women in Travel and Tourism Forum (IWTTF) Awards.
The expanded awards, organised by Women in Travel CIC, are now in their second year and feature nine categories covering areas such as leadership, talent and recruitment, allyship and DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion).
Intrepid Travel’s Zina Bencheikh is one of those shortlisted for the Female Leader of the Year award for corporates, alongside Charlotte Shaw from Athenaeum Hotel & Residences, Linda Obi from AfriHealth Ltd and WeTravel’s Shayna Zand.
Annaliesa Chapman from The Travel Corporation and G Adventures’ Agnelo Fernandes, meanwhile, are finalists in the DEI Professionals category for individuals.
Elsewhere, companies shortlisted in the Allyship Heroes category include Insight Vacations, Trip.com, and Visit Santa Marta and Vivolo Café in Colombia.
The awards will take place on Wednesday 26 June at Expedia’s offices in the Angel area of central London.
Alessandra Alonso, founder and managing director of Women in Travel CIC and IWTTF, said: “It’s fantastic to see the awards go from strength to strength, with more awards meaning more opportunity to shine a light on the great work that is taking place.
“Most importantly we want to hear and learn about best practice as we look towards creating a more diverse, equal and inclusive travel industry for us all.”
