The Caribbean destination will be on sale for the 2022/23 season, with a number of new experiences on offer.

Speaking to TTG, senior programme manager Sheena Paton said Kuoni was also planning to twin Grenada with stays in Saint Lucia and Barbados “to enrich and diversify how it sells Caribbean holidays”.

“We’ve really tried to look at introducing different elements into our beach product,” she explained. “People are looking for adventure or something with a bit of a twist.”

Paton, who visited Grenada earlier in the year, said she wanted to add “Kuoni-ness to the Caribbean – we want to offer something special that creates that wow factor,” she added.

“Grenada is perfect for our clients, with superb beaches in the south combined with the contrast of a lush, rugged north side with rainforest, waterfalls and hiking trails. It’s an exciting part of how we want to position the Caribbean as a premium destination rich in culture and diverse landscapes, perfect for honeymoons and other special occasion trips.”

New experiences on offer include rainforest walks, island history tours, a sunset cruise and a spice tour. Meanwhile Kuoni has also revealed plans to introduce US stopovers in Miami and New York as part of its Caribbean collection to create city break and beach itineraries.

Resorts on offer in the Grenada programme include luxury properties such as Spice Island Beach Resort and Silversands Grenada, as well as mid-range resorts such as 473 Grenada Boutique Resort, Royalton Grenada and Coyaba.

Kuoni is also offering what it bills as “special ingredient” properties, which include Mount Edgecombe – a plantation house on a tropical estate, focusing on wellbeing and “back to nature” – and the boutique-style property Petit Anse.

Elsewhere the new Caribbean programme features a number of other new properties including Fort Young Hotel & Dive Resort in Dominica, after the island was added last year as a twin-centre option, and Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa in Saint Lucia.
