L+R Hotels has opened The Mole Resort Devon, offering high-end eco-lodges and rooms, with plans to expand capacity by the summer.
The property was formerly known as Highbullen Hotel, and sits in the L+R Hotels portfolio alongside the iconic Chewton Glen and Cliveden House and Spa. It’s located in 125 acres of countryside near the River Mole, Exmoor and Dartmoor.
It currently offers 15 new “premium eco-conscious lodges”, which sleep eight people. Many of the lodges are dog-friendly and all feature a large deck with outdoor dining, hot tubs and kitchens.
Guests can opt to self-cater or dine in the on-site restaurants. They can also stay in the existing hotel which by June, will have undergone a full refurbishment, while the resort will expand to 58 lodges as part of the £25 million redevelopment.
Activities include indoor swimming, croquet, foot golf, woodland walking trails and a kids’ play area. The resort is offering a range of Easter-themed activities, including a petting zoo and an Easter trail.
Hotel rooms start from £110 per night and self-catering lodges from £273 per night.
