Wannabe stylists can create outfits fit for lounging by the pool at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc or enjoying lunch at The Lanesborough, as part of a tie-up between Oetker Collection and fashion mobile game Drest.
In the Drest app, players are set daily challenges to create fashionable looks for different photo shoot scenarios, with other users voting for their favourite. They can browse items in fashion collections from more than 250 brands, ranging from Burberry, Cartier and Chloe, to Christian Louboutin, Gucci and Prada.
To help win votes, users choose a backdrop that complements and enhances their fashion creation, and they can now select from a raft of images taken at properties in Oetker Collection’s Masterpiece Hotels brand.
Each look is styled on a model, with supermodels Precious Lee, Irina Shayk, Natalia Vodianova and Candice Huffine available. Players then finish their runway-ready ensembles with touches from hair stylist Sam McKnight and celebrity makeup artist Mary Greenwell.
The fashion styling challenges with Oetker Collection launched in early July, enabling players to craft photoshoots at Le Bristol Paris to coincide with Haute Couture Fashion Week.
After perfecting their look, players are invited to take their models to the south of France and get creative at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, using the property’s pool as a backdrop.
They can also style outfits against the backdrop of the Chateau Saint-Martin & Spa, and choose the ideal attire for a lunch at The Lanesborough Grill.
Simon Neggers, Oetker Collection senior vice president for sales, marketing and communications, said: “We are delighted to partner with Drest on this exciting collaboration, marking our entry into the virtual world. It allows people to discover Oetker Collection hotels in a fun and immersive way and the interactive challenges truly bring the escapism and glamour of travel to life.”
Upcoming Drest fashion challenges will focus on properties including L’Apogee Courchevel in the French Alps, Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa in Baden-Baden, Antigua’s Jumby Bay Island and The Woodward in Geneva.
Drest was founded in 2019 by Lucy Porter, the former editor-in-chief of Porter, Net-a-porter.com and and Harper’s Bazaar UK, and can be downloaded on the App Store.
