The Grove in Hertfordshire will unveil the results of a full renovation this spring, marking the final phase of an extensive three-year refurbishment.
The luxury property in Chandler’s Cross offers 214 guest rooms, and the new-look rooms and suites in the Mansion section of the building have been crafted by Martin Hulbert Design. They include nine signature suites and sixteen bedrooms, featuring three colour schemes in terracotta, blue and green.
A spokesperson said: “Each suite is individually designed with everything made and sourced in the UK, and almost everything – apart from the thoughtfully sourced antiques – is bespoke, giving it a highly curated craft feel. Wooden flooring will be lovingly restored, alongside beautiful marble bathrooms and restored working fireplaces for guests’ use during the cooler months.”
Refurbishment work on the Sequoia Spa will also be completed. From April the spa will use products by body and skincare brand Bamford, which will feature in all rooms, suites and communicable areas.
The Grove opened in 2003 and is the former home of the Earls of Clarendon, dating back to the 1500s.
Hotel manager Joanna Barnett said: “The Mansion refurbishment and completion of Sequoia Spa with Bamford as the new product house is the final piece to a long-term project we are exceptionally proud of. We look back at the last 20 years fondly, and ahead to all the unforgettable memories and experiences we can’t wait to create for our guests, in this twentieth year and all the years to come.”
