Abta has urged members to respond to a survey about booking trends and employment challenges so it can continue to lobby the government "effectively".
The new survey, launched in partnership with the Save Future Travel Coalition (SFTC), aims to gather data on booking trends for the Easter and summer periods and assess the latest employment situation. It will also help track the industry’s recovery and establish evidence on remaining barriers and challenges.
Emma Wade, public affairs manager at Abta, said the industry is "clearly in a much more positive place" compared to the start of the year.
"We continue to engage with ministers, politicians, and government officials on what the sector needs to ensure a steady recovery and insight and evidence from members, and our coalition partners, is vital to this work," she added.
"As we have seen during the course of the pandemic, accurate and reliable data has played an important part in the direction of public policy and will undoubtedly continue to do so in the coming months. Member data is a value source of information and plays a vital role in supporting Abta’s political engagement."
Members have until Friday 29 April to respond to the survey, which can be found here: www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/RXJ8ZN2.
