Aer Lingus will cancel around 18 flights a day between now and 10 July as ongoing industrial action by pilots continues to affect its schedules.
Around a dozen short-haul flights a day from Dublin are cancelled, together with five a day from the UK. The Dublin-New York JFK flight EI0104/5 is also cancelled until 10 July.
The airline said: “Customers whose flights are impacted will be communicated to directly via email/SMS, or through their travel agent, advising of their options.
“While we will endeavour to re-accommodate customers where possible, the levels of disruption may not make this possible.”
The dispute only affects pilots employed by the mainline carrier based in Ireland. Consequently, all Aer Lingus Regional flights operated by Emerald Airlines and Aer Lingus UK transatlantic flights to and from Manchester will operate as scheduled.
The carrier warned its call centre was experiencing a high volume of calls.
The Irish Air Line Pilots’ Association (IALPA) began a work to rule on 26 June, meaning they refuse to work overtime or outside contracted hours.
The union seeks a more than 20% pay uplift. An offer worth around 9% was turned down earlier this year.
